Tokyo Marui Goggles

These have been out a long time.... but I can't seem to find some information...

http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/marui-pro...th-fan-rg.html

Anyone know if they are ASTM rated, and are usable in Ontario Paintball fields?

Anyone here use them? Them VS usual paintball goggles?

Thanks for any info o.O

the marui goggles are hit and miss for outdoor fields. friend of mine bought one ... we put it to the test before he wore it out on the field and it failed... (415fps PTW ... first shot they cracked)

they are only rated to 400fps airsoft... aren't paintball rated, I ended up buying them off my friend and stealing the fan and headstrap/buckle for my goggles...

They are designed for japan, with their 1J limit in mind.

I would not use them, as cool and practical as they look.

It seems to supposedly support up to 392 fps... My JT and Empire paintball goggles all say something to like 350 fps anyways....

I will buy one and give it a try , shoot it a couple times with my 380fps gun using 0.25g, maybe shoot it with 2 guns at the same time lol... and see how it holds up....

I'll post here again after I've tried that... If it breaks, I got some fans :P

There are some things that you need to understand before you lose your eyesight:

Paintballs weight 3.2 grams. At 350fps, they would be exerting 18.11 Joules.
A 0.20 gram BB projected with this much energy would be flying at approximately 1400 fps.
ANY projectile flying at this much power is classified as a firearm in Canada.

In comparison, the Tokyo Marui Pro Goggles are rated for approximately 394 FPS with 6mm 0.25g BB. which is equivalent to 1.79 Joules.

What this means, is that paintball goggles are built to a much higher standard of safety and rated for WAY more than any airsoft gun is capable of putting out. "350fps" means nothing. In essence, paintball goggles are more than 10 times safer than the Tokyo Marui Pro goggles.
