RAP4 Hawkeye

Hey guys!

So I'm new to airsoft as you probably know since you haven't heard of me

I recently got my gun....

Now I have to slowly build up my gear and get fit :P (before I buy clothing gear hehe)

I was looking at the RAP4 Hawkeye Goggles and can not find anything in regards to ANSI ratings, and the only thing that turns up are news from newsbots and stuff... but nothing about people using them for airsoft....

So I was wondering has anyone used them? or purchased them? If I was to get one, would I be allowed into the games, or they are seen as not allowed for airsoft o.O

I also happen to wear glasses, so if you have one and wear glasses, is it perfect? :P

I know alot of people look at the Vforce, and the JT goggles, but the RAP4 really got my attention for some reason @.@

They provide ear coverage which means they are ok to use with paintball which means they are ok to use airsoft. And im glad your asked cause now im kinda inclined to pick one up.

haha, but it looks nice

I dunno if the hole is too big...

maybe could cover them partially with something if it's near the teeth region? @.@

As long as it doesn't hurt my teeth, go up my nose :P, or into my mouth, it should be ok I guess....

But I did email them asking, because it says ASTM Tested, so I WOULD think it should be ok haha.... Just wanted to be 100% sure though hehe....

And hopefully there is enough space to wear glasses underneath..... Unfortunately, I'm a four-eyes T.T

*Used to wear contacts up till grade 8? Stopped for a year, and now it takes me years to put one on and stuff, and only to have it irritate my eye lol.... I've had my contacts fall out while skating and stuff too, so wouldn't want to risk that during a game anyways....*

Do you absolutely NEED a full-face mask? Things like cheek-weild are impossible with those.

IMHO goggles like ESS Profile NVG are perfect.

Yeah... I admit those are nice.....

But haha, since I'm a beginner, I was thinking it would be better to play it safe with a full face mask first @.@

well, considering that everything from rap4 is insanely overpriced. why don't you just get a high quality pb mask from action village?

I guess I should look at JT then....

Apparently a paintball retailer sent me this:

Quote:
we brought in one sample of the goggles to stock. We found the goggle a bit too flexible and too soft to give adequate protection. We would recommend the Invert Avatar Mask or the JT line as we have always been confident in selling those to customers.

get a pair of jt thermals, and get rid of whatever extraneous plastic there is on there, and zip tie the bottom half of one of these:
