stripped screws
Ok I just recently stripped one of the screws on my gun, and now I cant take the barrel off. Is there some sort of product that can unstrip it? It's one of the allen key type screws.

So you mean it's a circle rather than a "hex" shape?
I'd try putting the allen key in at an angle and try and grip whatever I could and twist it (what I did with the skill saw to take off the blade).

Nevermind I got it out, It was so badly stripped I needed to drill a small hole into the screw. Then I hammered in a screw driver and got it out.

Heres a trick if you get a stripped screw.
1) Take a blue bic pen. (The ones with the non-see through blue plastic.). 2) Take ink out 3) Light pen plastic on fire, and wait until it melts. 4) Blow flame out and shove onto screw. 5) Wait 5 minutes until it hardens. 6) Unscrew. Make sure your in well ventiliated area. Ive done this trick to take apart my gamecube!

Or us ur dremel and cutting disk to cut a straight line into the head and then use a flat head screw driver, but this one works only if the head is exposed tho

Lee Valley and good hardware tool stores will have miniature screw extractor bits.
They work and I doubt you'd every wear one out with normal usage. |

Or, you could use the right size Allen key! Otherwise, I Agree with amos.

No, only do this if the threads are stripped. If the head is stripped just use an extractor bit like m102404 said.

You can also super glue your driver into the screw and hope that when it sets its hard enough to torque the screw.
