Gloves and Helmet?

Hey, I was wondering if it would be worth getting gloves and a helmet for airsofting (obviously). I recently chipped a tooth airsofting, so I am getting a full mask so it won't happen again hopefully :P
Anyways, for gloves my max would be $25 and a helmet around the same price range.

Thank you

They are mostly used for the look, unless you play somewhere hazardous... gloves are pretty popular too because finger shots HURT. But for helmets, I don't think you can get a military looking helmet for $25

If your going to play in CQB or any field that has access points like ladders then yes a helmet is a good idea. there was a player just last week or so that fell down a hole just like that took a nasty hit to the head he is ok as far as I have read but I bet he's bringing a helmet next time.

for gloves I use Mechanix Gloves (cheap around $30) but more for protection from the environment trees and what not, not really for BB's and because I don't like rail covers so gloves are a comfort item for me.

Gloves I find are very useful more so then a helmet. If you happen to trip and take a nasty fall then gloves can really save your hands from cuts and gashes in both cqb and fields.

gloves are very very helpful.

I play in a house so sometimes you can take around up close and personal in the hand.

You can pick them up as cheap as 15 bucks at co-op. Tyey are black and have some padding for your fingers.

I wouldn't worry about a helmet, especially for $25 (good ones usually kick around $75-100). Stick with hats and watch caps depending on the weather.

Gloves on the other hand (haha), must have. Not only for getting hit on the hands, but also for general protection and comfort. I've got about a dozen different gloves that I use at work, each one with a different purpose.

Gloves are great!
Mechanix are pretty solid, also, or you can get decent Oakley SI clone gloves for +/- 25 bucks

If your playing cqb, depending on the field i would recommend a helmet. My first game was at CQB Tactical Paintball here in t.o and I witnessed someone take a tumble from a second floor building through a hole in the floor. Quite a lump on his head. Ask Mr.Shiney

You might be able to find mechanix gloves at an auto-parts store, or if your lucky, canadian tire.

If your willing to buy online, you can get decent Oakley S.I. clones for +/- 30 bucks shipped

I don't find that gloves protect from BB impacts. They are only good to protect your hand in CQB game when you have to crawl and climb on hazardous surfaces.

Helmets should be mendatory in CQB IMO. I once received a full size G3 SG1 on my head. If I did not had a helmet, it would have been way more painfull.

Unless you are playing in a paintball feild, don't bother.

I bought mine at Mountain Equipment Co-Op too, they are black and grey bike gloves. I have had them for about 2 years, used mostly for mountain biking but now they entered my Airsoft gear. Very nice and comfy gloves.
