G&G GR16 Delta Ring
Alright, I'm aware the delta ring removal stuff comes up a lot, but none of the threads I read through helped.
Basically, the delta ring needs to come off, I'm installing an S.I.R on the pnueamtic GR16. In this such manner. A few people suggested just taking off the front sights, but hey, G&G one peice front set ahoy. So I'm basically wondering if anyone knows how to take the sucker off. I've tried a few things, nothing has worked, an I'm stumped. This is a picture of the delta ring setup as well, incase its needed. Appriciate the help in advance.

You must have to take the front sight off in order to remove the fake gas tube..No?

Quite possibly, but despite owning the M4 for quite a while, I've never had to remove the front, I've also never really come accross anything that explained how to remove anything in the front. Maybe I should stop relying on mechbox-com, haha.
Edit: Basically any tutorials that exist, don't outline how to do it with a one peice front end, the front sight is apart of my barrel, so it has to come off together, unfortunately. I find it moderately dumb that all the "complete dissassembly" guides for GR16's end after "Now you have the mechbox out, so you're done" Haha.

Just start undoing all the set screws. lol And just because your barrel is a one piece it shouldn't mean the front site is built on. Look under the sling loop on your front site, then hammer out the pins, gas tube should slide out. To remove the delta ring, just line up the notches (you'll see what I mean if you look closely) There should be two rectangle looking hole type things on opposites of the actual ring, then rotate until they line up with two notches sticking out, and the spring will push the ring upward.

Surprisingly, the front barrel is one piece, with the sight, the manual even says this, haha.
Although Tys helped me out, and its possible to remove the silver piston rod through the upper receiver reciever itself, and from there it was possible to remove the front end assembly, and the delta ring. Basically for anyone who owns the canadian legal G&G GR16, look into buying a normal front end.

Remove the set screws right in front of the delta ring.
Theses should be holding the barrel in place. I have NEVER seen a 1 piece barrel/gaz block. And I removed the front sight/gaz block on a Cansoft G&G M4-CQB. Two pins, on the lower part. They enter two notches in the barrel. You will need a pin punch or a something that is just a little smaller than the pin. And a hammer. Forget about doing it with a pair of pliers. Theses are tight. |

The GR16 (pnuematic) G&G model is a whole front peice. Believe me, the pins are aesthetic, they aren't real on this model, the parts list even shows and says its one peice.
I assume these are the pins youre refering to, they have scratches, because I felt the need to prove they in fact don't come out - they got hammered. I believe this is the only model where it is one whole piece.

If the fake gas tube is that aluminium rod, then it should come out without doing anything, gun is not fixed by this, well i think, because my front end comes off and shows inner barrell only with a slight pull.

Hey IceTray, did you manage to figure out how to get the pesky Delta ring off your G&G GR16?
I have the same problem. My Delta needs replacing but I can't get it off due to the gas tube being in the way. I tried removing the outer barrel from the receiver but it won't slide out even after I removed the screws that are meant to hold it to the block in the receiver (the block is visible in your posted picture). What I haven't tried yet is to remove the front end of the outer barrel (the outer barrel made of two parts - the front consist of the front sights and is apparently locked on to the rear part (i.e. the tube between front sight and block in the receiver) by two screws. This is because the metal piece behind the front sights is blocking my allen key from reaching the screws. But I am afraid that the tube might not come out easily even after the screws have been removed too. If you have got any progress please let me know. Will be very grateful. |

G&G GR16 Blowback. It is primarily plastic with metal bits but has pneumatic blowback. I believe it is the same as IceTray's.
