Coloring trademarks without painting the rest of the slide.....
ok, i thought i had this all figured out, but i was wrong. my G26 (KSC) has WHITE trades on the metal slide, and they drive me insane!!!!!!!
soooo, i went out and got this........ well, the tip is too large to get into the etching where the white paint is. so, how the hell do i get the white to be BLACK like the rest of the slide? pic below of real steel, and airsoft, notice the white letters, they make me mad!!!!!!! HELP, i hate the white!!!!!!!!!!! |

What you need to do is get a good oil based paint. Add some thinner, to make it very runny. Have a clean rag, damp with thinner/remover. Lightly spread the thined oil paint over the lettering. Then lay the gun flat and run the rag over the flat surface of the slide.
The oil based paint will cover the bright white lettering, and the rag will wipe off the excess paint. If you wipe off the paint right after applying it, it will not stick to the slide. A few light coats and the white lettering will not be visible. If you mess it up too bad, PM me, I own a custom duracoating shop, and I'll fix it up for you. ~Shooter |

Just get a black crayon.
Rub the crayon over the spots you want black and buff any excess off with a rag.

Just black crayon it, it aint coming out unless you take a screw driver and pick at it. No point in duracoating.

How about thinking to get a new slide like Guarder slide ? I used to have a Glock 19 and that white trade mark make insane as well, I end up polish it but finally I end up have 3 extra slide. Better buy a new slide than waste your time figure out how to make it black.

every slide i have found for the G26 comes with the white letters. i have asked every retailer before buying (even though in pictures they are all black trades) and they all reply "sorry, slide comes with white trades"
it drives me nuts, i mean, why post a pic of the black trades if that is NOT what you get!!!! hell, here is the pic of the gun's ad, and the trades that come with it are white!!!!!!!!!!!! aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!! edit: wow, i just noticed TODAY, that they changed their pic on the site, it now actuallly shows the white trades. (interesting) WGC advertises this, and i emailed them, and sure enough, it has white trades.... edit#2: i just found this, and emailed them. lets see if it is white or black trades, cause the pic shows black............ http://www.airsoftshop.com/product_i...rb60c09sqle7k1 Last edited by MikeMcNair; August 8th, 2009 at 04:04..
