TM hi capa: Shooters Design Nozzle problem
To all hi capa gurus out there, pls help me. I have this problem on my hi capa with shooters design nozzle (the white one) and PDI piston head winter type.
the problem is : after I shoot some bbs and mag's out, the nozzle would stop halfway on the piston. I found out this problem when the slide was locked; tip of the nozzle exposed and then I was able to use my finger to push the tip of the nozzle toward the rear end of the piston. this always happen all the time.(I usually push the nozzle tip toward the rear end everytime the mag is out and the slide is locked) I disassembled the blowback unit and I tried moving the nozzle back and forth and I found out that the nozzle movement on the piston was somewhat not smooth. And this would cause the top spring on the blowback unit (the one thats supposed to push the nozzle to return to the back end of the piston) not able to push the nozzle to battery. I already put silicon oil inside the nozzle and on the piston-piston head assembly but this problem still persist. The gun shoots OK though, but I want to know whether this problem would cause some problem or complication to the gun in the future. Thanks in advance. |

I had the same issue on two different builds. I swapped the o-ring to one that was slightly smaller (I just tried a bunch of them until I found one that worked).

Sir Tyson, I dont have any more spare o rings. The marui one is not compatible. What o ring did you use to fix this?

I got them from the local hardware store....not sure where you'd get them locally.
I also had a bunch of extra ones from builds/upgrades. Sorry, Tys |

Sir, If I keep the o ring as it is, will it cause any problems or reliability issues?

If it's sticking badly, it might hang up the recoil of the slide and cause mis-feeds. But I don't think that it'll "break" anything.
If you can cycle reliably through a mag of bbs...and the performance is where you want it...then I can't see there being an issue. Tys |

Thank for the help sir. The gun is actually shooting fine, no misfeeds or anything. I just wanna make sure that this problem wouldn't break my gun in the future coz I love my gun very much.
