Are these sites safe to buy from?
I'm a bit unsure about these sites as they're foreign, but they were still posted as retailers in the Airsoft Newbie Buying Guide.

Yeah safe to buy non-restricted items from. But don't try to buy guns, or metal bodies, or mags with bullets in them, or silencers. Theres a FAQ about whats restricted and what isn't. But anything that is not on that list, is good to go.

Sorry for double post. Here is the information.
Okay, so I can’t import guns. What about parts and accessories? Yes. The good news is that most parts and accessories, including most magazines, can be successfully imported by individuals without requiring a BFL. Examples of things you CANNOT import: * AEG magazines with fake cartridges (i.e. P90, G36, SG 552 mags) * Frames, receivers, and metal bodies * Suppressors and silencers * Prohibited-length outer handgun barrels (i.e. USP Compact, Glock 26) * Hand and 40mm grenades that look real Examples of things you CAN import: * Magazines for AEGs and GBBs without fake cartridges * Outer barrels for most guns * Inner barrels of any type * Handgun slides * Flash suppressors * Scopes, red dot sights, iron sights, lasers * Rail systems and scope mounts * Springs, bushings, gears, pistons, or other gearbox parts * Batteries, BBs, loading tools * Helmets, goggles, body armor, tactical vests, camouflage Note that CBSA inspectors have discretion to detain goods of questionable legality, and although it shows up on the above list it MAY be held if you draw an inspector that is particularly ignorant or of foul demeanor. That said, I have yet to hear of any seizures of the above items. Prohibited-length handgun barrels may or may not be stopped. Most outer barrels are not dimensioned internally to even appear capable of firing a real bullet, and faux rifling marks typically extend only a few millimeters down the bore. However CBSA inspectors are not firearms experts and if they think there's a potential of it being usable in a real gun, they'll seize it rather than risk their jobs. Best not to take a chance on it.

Not a problem. If you want quality guns though, get AV'd (age verified) here on the site, and there is a plethora of awesome retailers, as well as the classifieds, in which to find the guns you love!

For ebairsoft.com, if i use paypal, would i have to pay for duty fees and taxes when the post man arrives at my door? Or do i just have to pay for the price stated on the website?

All import taxes are the importer's responsibility.
Also, stay clear of Ebay Banned, sub par service and hellish shipping. |

I hope you saved this Ujiro cause I am going to copy paste to this post. A nice, clean and straight to the point post, I definitely concur with this! Also add this site to your list of non restricted goods to buy, often this place has some hard to find parts www.airsoftglobal.com |

Sorry for resurrecting this thread, I found the FAQ about importing but I don't understand the with / without fake cartridges part. Can anyone explain what a fake cartridge is and why it might be prohibited?

g36, p90 mags have fake rounds that can be seen through the clear plastic of said magazine, like on the real steal equivalent, those cannot be imported. a g36 mag without said fake rounds, or any stanag magazine for example would be fine.

I've ordered from ebaybanned quite a few times now. Always 1 week shipping, and they reply to their emails in HK time within ~2 hours.
As for broken items and refunds, I've yet to experience that. Ehobby has a pretty cheap shipping rate, other than that, try redwolfairsoft or WGCshop. |

from my understanding, that would not be importable.

Ok thanks for clearing that up for me. I'm waiting for my AV to take effect on this site (had it done friday evening) and I was looking at getting a GBB to start with. I emailed the guy from 007airsoft to see about a package deal but it looks like I'll be better off importing mags for the gun I'm after.
I really like the look and feel of an 1911, so I'm going to look around for something like it. 007 has one for $240 from KJW, which seems like a decent price, but their mags for it are around $90 which seems overboard. The deal was pretty decent with the sites' prices, but I'm probably still saving more just importing mags and the other items getting from a surplus store. |

My advice is don't worry about the retailers with these halfbreeds. I personally don't have any problems with them, but wait until you have your AV status and can see what options you have at your disposal outside of the clear ones with subpar quality when compared to TM guns, KSC guns etc...
