Exclamation G36 outer barrel assembly tab broken!

Well, last night as i was replacing my hopup rubber, i somehow managed to break a tab off both my hop-up assembly and the inner barrel assembly it was taken out of. I have since ordered a new CNC hop up unit, but still need to solve my issue with the outer barrel asembly. Although 1 tab is still in tact, i doubt it will hold for long. I have been searching around on the internet for a replacement, but have found nothing. Anyone know where i can find a new one?

Heres a pic of what im talking about, sorry for the bad pics.

If you can't quite tell what im talking about, i can try to take better pics, but im afraid i only have an old point+shoot camera

Thanks in advance,
-Ben

You need a new one. Simple as that. Right now, I know of FOUR people who have the exact same problem as you. It's a bad design on the plastic G36s from TM, JG, etc.

That's why I have mine replaced with a full metal inner assembly.

I don't know how you are searching but I found like 3 on my first google search. They are plastic - that's true. The metal ones are rare and expensive.

Unless you intend in field-stripping your gun 15 times a day, you don't need to replace it.

The thing you can do to avoid changing parts is removing the OTHER tab so that the hop-up chamber moves freely.

Basically, it is the mechbox that will hold it in place.

It does work, and some times fix airleak issues that are very hard to find.

Still not sure? Check any M4 that has a one-piece hop-up. It works on the same principle.

PM Dynamo? He said he had a non-working G36. Read his post up at the top, maybe he can salvage what you need

On the note of hop-ups. Do, or have you used the Pro-win CNC G36 hop-up? I bought it to replace my broken JG one, and im hoping it works well,

Anyone have any experience with it?

Pro-win hop-up will not work in a JG stock, it will misfeed. I have a gun that I am working on right now that I will be trying to get a pro-win to work with later. I can't remember the issue but it doesn't line up with the magwell exactly. I am going to play around with it later, maybe some magwell modding will fix it.

It might work for you. Tolerances are different from gun to gun. The JG/Prowin combo I had was just a millimetre off so the bbs would not smoothly feed up on full auto. If it's too far backward for the bbs to fit between it and the nozzle, sand a groove into the magwell so the bbs slide back further.
