Lost G36 hop up nubbin
Hello all, I was foolish enough to take apart my G36 hop up without researching it before hand, and I ended up dropping the hop up nubbing to be forever lost in the shagpile carpet. :banghead:
But I think I've been clever, and came up with a solution, but would like your imput so nothing catastrophic goes wrong. Rummaging in my lego bin I found a tube from one of those technic sets, and it appears to be roughly the same width as the nubbin(see pic). Also I have some wire that is close to the diamater of the nubbin. Any thoughts guys? Would this be a feasable solution short of buying a $5 chunk of plastic. Also how hard is a nubbin supposed to be anyways? Thanks for your imput. |

I have the insulation off a piece of 16 guage wire in mine.

Im guessing you took the wire out and left only the insulation. That way it has some give and can flex when needed. How does that affect performance though?
How do you think the tubeing would work? Or could a bit of a bic ink tube work as well...damn i hate small parts |

Ya that's a solution, but I really want to see if I can find a viable solution without any expense first before dropping hard earned cash on a V hop. Call me cheap, call me stingy, but damn have you seen the price of gas lately. My big ass car aint easy on the petrol!

All wire insulation looks the same.. the sizes are just different. Honestly I have no inclination whatsoever to go measure how wide a piece of 16 guage wire is. Just compare it to the "arch" in the top of the hopup. It will be pretty obvious if it's too big or too small.

well I stuck something in there, it looks like it works, ill have to test it out tomorow though. If it works ill post something in the solutions section.
So you suppose guns and just guns would work instead of friends? hmm i suppose you could bring your guns to watch movies instead of people. how many of us have watched blackhawk down with an M4 next to them? I know I have! |

Well I think the wire insulation works the best here, its flexable, and easy to come by. Hopefully it only affects the hop up by having to turn it just a bit more to get the needed hop effect.
Thanks for your imput guys! much appreciated. Thenooblord your probably holding a gun right now arnt you?! well if your not, you should be! All ASCers should have a gun in hand when in the site! |
