LoCap magazine spring weak
Hi,
I've been out of airsoft for a while now, but planning to gradually re-enter the sport. I've been going through my old stuff to verify it is working, but I realized that I left twenty of my M-16 TM lowcaps fully loaded for about 5 to 6 years. Now their springs are weak in a way that they do not feed the last 10 BBs from the mag. Before I open those mags and start playing in them, I just wanted to check if opening them up, taking out the springs and stretching them will do the trick, and, if not, they sell LoCap magazine springs somewhere...?!? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Ouch, all 20 mags that sucks. You'll need to Stretch out the spring (though it'll die 100% in time after this and feed nothing) or you'll have to find a similar spring and cut your own correct lengths for the mags (about an inch or so longer than the rails inside the mag are)
Though your lucky enough that its only lowcaps, those are cheapish to replace, about $10 each. |

Stretching the springs will work, just make sure not to do it too much in one place or you'll deform the spring and it will jam in the magazine.
