painting

Hey Guys:

I am new to the world of airsoft and the big question that I have is do any of you cover/paint over the clear portion of the replicas that are being produced for Canada now? I like to be almost authentic.

TOTALLY wrong. technically it is illegal to paint the clear lowers black (though everybody will do this and nobody really cares It's one of those addons the cops have for when somebody does something illegal with an airsoft gun, just to make their punishment better.) And orange tips are a PURELY american law, NOT CANADIAN.

What orange tip is this? I don't think they're shipped out with those.

To answer your question, yes provided you aren't retarded with it. If you get it confiscated by police then it's just digging you into a deeper hole. If you're just transporting it to/from games then who's there who will tell you to strip the paint off?

The law isn't "new". It just wasn't as strictly enforced and some people found ways to skirt around them. The "Canadian legal" guns are a new trend as it was only recently some retailers (007 Airsoft in particular) got companies to manufacture guns with clear receivers. Get age verified and you'll see there's lots of full-colour ones floating around if you're willing to pay.

I think that's what he meant...

Several people have been pulled over or had police in their homes and had them look at airsoft guns, usually full metal so its not like a clear one painted black. The only ones that seem to care are customs; as long as you aren't running around with it in public or using it to rob a store, the police will not come after you for it.

but its best wise to let the police know what ur up to when skirmishing just to be safe hell i remember when we where airsofting at my school. The principal was like are those paintball guns? we where like no then he basically said have fun. we let the police know and he was like "to tell you the truth ur gona start shooting each other once i leave so as long as your wearing proper gear and not breaking windows im fine."

and i can't wait to see the classifieds *crap im starting to drool again*

WTF ? you play airsoft at school. You should stick with your clearsoft, I don't want to see another news about student bring gun to the school and got shot to dead then later on the gun has been identify as airsoft gun. So I vote for no Age Verified tag for you.

I had a city cop at my house last year around xmas, and he was going on and on about his clearsoft and how they were so cool, he looked like he won the lottery when he started playing with my ksc g17, apparently everything down to the weight is exactly what he carrys. He had no problem with my glocks or vsr im pretty sure its more customs that has the ishues with it. unless you want to rob a jewerly store with it where then the clear receiver could be the only thing that saves you when the cops show up

You do realize this statement can easily get you banned from ASC and all real airsoft fields in Canada, right?
