Possible mod question

If I were to buy a TM G3 SG/1, would it be possible to switch out the regular stock for the retractable stock? Obviously, some wire re-routing would be necessary to put the battery in the foregrip (if possible). I want a G3 with a retractable stock, but TM doesn't make them anymore. I've seen some G3's in the classifieds, but either with the regular stocks, or no pic/description of the stock. CA's CA33 KA3 is close to a G3, but a different mag.

why dun u consider a TM MC51 instead, then change the front half of the gun to the G3-sg1 front, i think it's easier than rerouting everything

The stock is an easy swap, if you can find one. Try Ehobbie or one of the HK retailers. Rewiring to the front is pretty easy as well. Just a little soldering and rerouting of wires, maybe some extending of wires.

Thanks guys. After poking around the internet for a couple hours after making that post, I found the Classic Army SAR Sportmatch M41 ES, which looks almost identical to a G3 to me, so as far as I'm concerned, problem solved, lol.

If a mod would be so kind as to lock this thread, that would be great.

Well, whatever floats your boat, I guess. Looks long and awkward to me. But if that's what you like, then go for it. Who am I to say, since my outdoor gun of choice is a full sice M16.
