Ideas for a first gun

Now I'm not AV as the time of writing this but my birthday is tomorrow so it will happen soon. I found a place in Winnipeg that has some airsoft guns that I am thinking of buying.

They are a Aftermath Kraken AK 47 that stated that it fires 300 FPS with .12 g BB's and a Tactical Force TF7. I do not know the FPS for the TF7. I was wondering what I should buy first.

Thanks for any help,

Umm well I have the Tactical Force MP7 and it is a very very basic gun, I would recommend it to no one actually. The aftermath AK on the other hand, I have heard alot of good things about using that gun as a starter. Hope that helps.....

Why does someone always beat me

My personal opinion. A Kraken. but don't buy from the retailer. your prety much going to be playing the lottery. some work, some blow after 100 bb's, some need repairs out of the box.

so if you going to buy a kraken get it from somone here on the board.

The ressons for a kraken for a first timer is its a good starter build (360ish fps out of the box). plus you can upgrade it/ alot of after market parts.

so after about $1000 you could have 3-5 different layouts of the gun itself.

happy hunting

I think that I will get the Kraken. I think it might be the version that shoots 300 FPS because It only costs $120 a lot lower than other sites. Although my friends have worked through this store before and it has be a great place for hunting equipment in Winnipeg. I will be getting a gun off this website eventually, however, I want to get a cheap on from a store so I know that I'm interested in airsofting. If I do really like airsofting then I might be getting a P90 or a M14.

Thanks everyone for all your help,

This is only so I can make the decision whether or not to really get involved with airsoft. I will probably upgrade the gun and it was originally $160 but they had a price drop. I still appreciate your input
