Cabelas M4, Good buy?

I have been looking to replace my shitty A17 with something more durable and I came across this.
https://www.cabelas.ca/index.cfm?pag...2=1387&ID=4301

Is it worth the price tag? I mean anything is better than a cybergun A17, but should I go with this or hold out for something better?

It probably is better than your "A17". Keep in mind that better doesn't mean good. It's probably still crap, but a less shitty crap.

for 250$ I'm going to have to say no
Save up for either a TM or CA, then atleast you KNOW it's 100% compatible with upgrade parts AND exterior accessories

When are you getting verified? I would save up and wait till you can get access to the classifieds before getting anything.

That's a JG with a clear body. So yes it will be good quality, and 100% TM compatible.

That's what I thought, but on AirGunSource says it's a JG clone, so I wasn't sure.

As for the Age Verification question, I am discussing that with Lykurgus(local verifier) about it, but I am waiting for my Gov't ID.

The first thing you should think is that why would someone clone a clone? the company would lose money ...for example buying fake dvd's that are burned from fake dvds? same concept the reason why it is different name is because PantherArms is the norhamerican Logo

one thing I want to know before i really decide on this thing: is it ilegal to buy it without clear markings or is it illegal to alter the markings? a decent metal upper and lower reciever would look awesome with this thing, however I want to make sure that everything is legal.

Thoughts?

What are you going on about?

DPMS Panther Arms is a real firearms company not airsoft. so what their name is on it that means nothing. it is just a trademark. JG makes it and puts Panther arms on it instead of colt, AR, SR ect.ect.

if by markings you mean the trades theres no law prohibiting it except maybe the copyright of the companies but when on earth is that company gonna know and sue you? lol

and as for metal receivers, there costly here in canada because you just ant import one like that, tough www.airsoftparts.ca sells some but there the same price as the jg gun your showing there so... 250 for the gun, 250 for a metal body? mhm.. maybe waiting and getting higher quality and full metal construction might be your choice, its all up to you...

EDIT: P.S. my friend has bought one of these its quite decent for its price as jg is getting better in QC and its 100% tm compatible so if something breaks go right ahead fix it, bt not as good as the big name brands.

Buying a clone then upgrading it with a metal body is not cost effective.

For the same price as doing that you can buy a name-brand gun that's already 100% awesome

Or you could just buy a clone that comes with a metal body.

When I said clear markings, I meant clear parts like the reciever, that are required by law(or so I read).

But I can see the point with not it not being worth the metal body upgrade, not really worth it to take a $250 gun and put $500 in it. I guess I should have looked at what those were going for.
