AK-47 vs M16

To all those airsoft lovers out there which gun do you prefer:

the M16 or the AK-47
Discuss your answers
For me there both very close I own a TSD M16 and a JG AK-47 and I like both alot.
JG AK-47 pros: 380 fps with .20, large type battery, full stock, looks great, full metal, realistic weight,

cons: the hop up slides alot, fire selector switch also slides alot, came with plastic waffle mags that shoot alot of blanks,

TSD M16 pros: 360 fps with .20, large type battery, full stock, 42'' long, heavy, accurate, removable carrying handle/front sight, full metal
cons: uncomfortable to hold, very long (sometimes annoyig in smaller areas), the charging handle often sticks, fore grip is kind of wobbly

thign is ur trying to compare the concept of two guns, but then u start comparing the fps of low quality guns LOL

i like m4 better cuz of cosmetics
either gun could be better than the other in the world of airsof

issues on both guns can be fixed and are not specific to those types of guns,

the "blanks" that the ak is shooting could be due to a feeding issue - is it a hicap mag that you are using? - you may just need to wind it more often

the selector switch on the ak sliding -just remove the screw cover and tighten the screw, same thing with the hopup slider

as far as comfort goes, it's really a matter of personal preference

very hard pick

as in real life, the Ak versions of airsoft are more rugged than m series versions. The V3 can take 400fps wihout having to be modified to a reinforced shell

m4 series are also great, handling to me is better, accuracy is better (depending wat u gots in the gun) and more accesories can be added on.

however, now that i have the aks74 with rail and elcan, its real hard to tell cause both guns shoot well....

its really a matter of scenerio and field ull be playing on.

personally, I like the concept of both gun. You should get both of them.

For the mechbox, The AK is the V3 mechbox so it's somehow better than M16 which is V2 mechbox. but still It's matter of personal preference.

All those issues would probably be fixed if you compared higher quality guns... like G&P and CA for example.

As to which one is more comfortable, that's purley personal preference.

The AK has a better hopup than the M4's... But everything changes once you go aftermarket.

No it's not, but it's illegal for Canadians to order from a store that's not already in Canada.

you should also add that it is illegal for Canadians to import airsoft into Canada

*edit* and also that you need to be 18 to own airsoft, you look like you're 12

I read a topic from Warchild (the person who owns thewarstore) and he went to see a customs agent and he was told that it had to be plastic, have no trades, shoot under 500 fps and be transported in a trunk/bed of a truck or car. I think he said something about declaring it too

yep and the highway police use Coca Cola to wash blood off the highway after accidents and if you leave a tooth in a glass of Coke, it will dissolve overnight!
