Rules For Music
Just wondering if there are any rules for listening to music during CQB play, only one ear, so i can hear other things(REFS, Players).
Thinking of putting some Slayer, disturbed, motorhead, stuff like that on my old mini iPod, to "pump" me up i guess. So is there some un-spoken rule about music? I know when I ride in a motorcycle group, some are really aginst music in the ear, some are cool with it. Thanks D

I'm sure each venue will have their own rules about this, but at any rate, not a smart thing to do.

Do whatever you want, just dont let it distract you or others around you.

I remember one time there was music on during a game at TTAC for a CQB lights out skrimish, with music it masked the players footsteps so it was hard to tell whats going to happen next, it all depended on your reflexes and if you had a flashlight.
But other than that music in games is definitely a distraction you can try it at Defcon and you will notice right away that it can be quite distracting |

I've never seen any rules about music. However, if it's loud enough to distract other people, it'll likely lead to the host intervening.
If you need music to psych you up, though, you're better off playing FPS. Try to remember that Iron Eagle was just a movie, and music doesn't make you a better fighter.

I don't see a problem with it, although I think it'll be a real hindrance for you.

Not to mention
that many hits can only be perceived by sound ... so you are setting yourself up to be labled a cheater because you will miss hits you should take.
