Problem with JG M16A1
Hello
i have JG M16A1 and i do some basic internal modification such as Spring 130 Piston Head Full teeth piston Rotary Spring Guide Metal bushing and get 460 FPS with good ROF the question is i try shooting with 0.2 bb's, after 15 - 20 meters the bb's were swerving left how i supposed to do? thanks a lot all (sorry my english was bad) |

Try a heavier bb. 0.20g is pretty damn light for shooting 460. Try at least 0.25g or even 0.30g. I'd recommend replacing the hopup as well as the JG one isn't designed for such high fps. You'll need a stiffer sleeve and bucking assembly. Outside of that, replacing the inner barrel and possibly the hopup chamber is about all you can do. All this is providing the barrel assembly is still solid. If it's not, you're pretty much screwed and need to replace the body.
BTW, hope you have a fair bit of experience playing. 460 is pretty damn hot for an AEG. Most fields limit AEG's to 400-450 fps tops. Not to mention, you can kiss your mechbox shell goodbye in short order if you shoot a lot. Version 2's are notorious for breaking under heavy spring loads and/or a lot of firing.

If you like to shoot alot then an m130 is pretty hot for a standard JG mechbox. Or any mechbox for that matter, but especially a stock one. So i would do: A: Everything Darklen said + a reinforced mechbox for preventative matenience. B: You could simply try downpowering your spring to an m120 or possibly an m110. Probably the first one, maybe you could swap the spring from a friends gun to test it? That might lower your fps a little to stop the swerving. You would lose probably 40sih fps, but it's certainly cheaper than a new hopup, barrel, mechbox, and body. Althought with constant shooting an m120 might still be a little hot for a stock JG mechbox. Hope this helps. -Brett

460 fps is a ridiculous velocity for any AEG, particularly one loaded with a V2 mechbox. Your mechbox won't survive very long at that velocity. Really, anything over 375-ish, and you should be using a reinforced mechbox anyway. And at that kind of velocity, BBs start behaving pretty erratically anyway. It becomes more about the ballistic properties of the lightweight spherical shape projectile than the platform it was launched from.
I think 3 things would help your accuracy problems. First, a stiffer hopup rubber is in order. At that kind of velocity, you need a hard rubber, not the soft stock hopup sleeve. Secondly, a 6.03mm tightbore barrel would be preferable, as it will stabilize the BB a lot better before it leaves the barrel. Just keep in mind that a tightbore will add another 20 fps or so to your velocity. Thirdly, use .25g BBs as a minimum, and preferably .28s or .3 to get the maximum stability. Keep in mind that your gun is not field-legal anywhere in Canada, as the majority of fields will only allow 400 with an AEG, with some allowing 420. Some fields may allow 450-500, but by experienced snipers using bolt action or semi auto AEGs only. Your gun has serious potential to injure people, and personally, I wouldn't want anyone on a field where I'm playing with a gun anywhere near that hot. My suggestion would be to downgrade to a spring of an M100-110 rating and get a tightbore barrel. That will make your gun field legal, increase the longevity of your mechbox, and probably help significantly with your accuracy problems.

@darklen
ok i'll try using heavier bb first @incrediboy729 ok so maybe i'll change the spring to 120 hope it will get better accuracy @Crunchmeister thanks for the advice maybe tight bore barrel will be an option mad bull, is it good? thanks all i will post the result as son as possible |
