Systema M120 Drop in Mechbox Problem
I just bought a system drop in mechbox, m120 version. I believe that the anti-reversal latch is not working properly by not pressing against the gear due to the mechbox being tight around the part and causing it not to move.
Has anyone had this problem before and if so, what have you done to fix it. I am thinking that saving the hole a bit to make it bigger will help the anti-reversal latch move freely. FIXED - See below for solution Last edited by chrising; December 24th, 2008 at 05:54.. |

Weird...so with just the mechbox mounted onto the grip/motor (i.e. not in the body) it fires fine? But in the body it binds?
Does the AR latch axle protrude out of the shell on either side? What body are you putting it into? |

Check the spring, and then enlarge the hole, and if it's getting caught on the gear you might have to shim it just a little bit (or dremel away the offending area of the AR latch).

Problem is with just the grip on, I'm going to try to enlarge the hole, see if that helps.

Ive had problems lately with systema drop in boxes having slop in the fit of the reversal latch. I have had to shim 2 latches. If it is moving the way its supposed to without the grip on you may want to check the length of your grip screws. There could be a remote possibility they are too long and have maybe pushed against something they arent supposed to.

What battery and motor are you using?

+1 lupo, i suspect the grip screws are too long.

FIXED
So I enlarged the anti-reversal latch hole. Seems that the hole was too small, only needed just a bit of sanding. Thanks for all of your support and ideas! |
