Tactical Shooting Holster
I didn't know if this should be in the media section or gear section.
This set-up is nuts, apparently it holds 14 different models of pistols without needing modification. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5lq20Fj2Mts&NR=1 Close up of the fit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g5Uof...eature=related A 38 in the same holster as a glock is pretty impressive.

I have no clue where they are sold, I posted it hoping that someone could lend some insight. Apparently the video was filmed in Korea though.
I guess we could try to pm his youtube name and ask. They look like a kind of locking holster with a thumb button release.

That is definately inovative to say the least! I wonder who is going to put it into production?
I don't think it offers that much retention, but when was the last time you got your own airsoft gun pulled on you? Cheers, Gramt |

That is BADASS!
One of the largest compliants with Kydex holsters is that they can be rather expensive, and work ussually for one model of firearm or setup. Having a kydex holster that works for multiple firearms is definitely appealing and cost effective for "po-boys" like myself. Or for users that have a laser/light combo kydex holster that otherwise would not work unless that laser/light was attached. I am definitely interested on how the holster retention works. All kydex holsters to my knowledge use friction, by tightening a nut it pulls the kydex shroud that covers the pistol tighter, but the downside is it need to be contoured to a specific model. This is done to prevent movement of the pistol within the holster, and maximize the surface area to achieve a sound level of retention from friction. It's impressive that that kydex holster is able to accomodate so many models, yet offer some degree of level two retention with little play in holster. What would make this perfect, would be an ALS/SLS system like the Safariland hood design, or from Bladetech the WRS, though one would have to optimize the length so it would work for various guns.
