Wires do heat up when shooting, and thinner wire can heat up even more. Is it really bad? Or what?

motor is too tight up, or the spring is too strong.

general cause is that the battery is having trouble making the mechbox work.

Something might be wrong with your battery, or that the mechbox not getting enough of the power needed from the battery.

Is your better heating up too while the red wires are hot?

Check the visuals of the battery and the wires, and test it.
Try another batery with your gun, see if it gets hot.
If it continues getting hot, then you need to re work your mechbox..

yes, what I said WILL cause that, because there is too much current going through the wires.

take a continuity checker, and place each end into the battery plug. If you get a reading, one of your wires might be stripped and your shorting the circuit.

Be careful if your wires start heating up too much. I remember when i was fixing a beater m4 up, and i plugged in the battery, shot 2 shots, realized i was shorting out, only to find that the battery plug had already melted together, and i ended up clipping the wires to stop the battery from getting damaged.

thats my horror story
