STI Custom Shop 5.1 Hi-Capa
I've wanted to build up a pistol for a while now. I went through a lot of different pistols in my head and what I'd do to them, and I finally settled on the Tokyo Marui 5.1 Hi-Capa. It's maybe 1/4 to 1/2 done now. I have a lot of other things I want to add to it, internally and externally. Here it is in its current form. I need to take better pictures too.
I decided early on that I wanted to try my best to stick to one or two manufacturers. I've chosen Airsoft Surgeon for the big parts. Currently the slide, magwell, piston head, recoil and hammer spring are Airsoft Surgeon parts. I plan on adding a frame and maybe a lightweight blowback chamber. The barrel and chamber are Shooters Design. I was originally unsure of using the V12 barrel, but now that I see it on there, I wouldn't change it...unless I decide to add a compensator. I also added a Freedom Art green fibre optic front sight(I still need to glue that Fibre bit in) and a Shooters Design rear sight (type c). A glamour shot with what I affectionetly call "The Twins", a pair of Western Arms Bladmaster III's. One more, this is with my Western Arms Wilson Combat SDS. A special thanks goes out M102404, for selling me this gun in the first place, and to Brian (aka. Illusion) for lending his wealth of knowledge on Hi-Capas, as well as providing a means to aquire all the parts you see on this gun.

Nice piece, looks like it'll be pretty slick when you are done.....If you do get the Airsoft Surgeon frame, you should look for a stainless steel hammer as well, since that frame uses stainless steel sear and knocker that it comes with, and those type of parts from my experience eats away TM's stock mechanical bits pretty quickly. AS hammer will be the best match, but you can only get those with the whole hammer/sear kit, where the sear and the knocker included will be useless for AS frame.
I also recommand PDI Palsonite inner barrel, since they are black finish and looks less obvious from the ported or compensated barrel compare to stock brass or stainless barrel. They come in 6.01 or 6.05 varierty, long or short.... And you need more shiny parts on the lower part of the pistol.... |

You need a Tanio Koba grip!
A gun that nice doesn't deserve the icky stock grip. |

But he is using magwell, which TK grip can't use.....maybe SD's branded grip?

That'll be the one I'm getting, once I get a new job. I'll get an AS hammer kit once I can find the one I want (type 2) in stock.

Definitely get the Shooters Design pistol grip - it would match the slide (and future frame) much more.
If you have a lot of time, a steady hand and a good soldering iron, you can do custom stippling or ribbed designs to the grip for a REAL looker. |

I recognize that Blade Master. Glad to see she went to a loving home.
