ACOG RANT!
I'm sorry but I really need to rant! I got a brand new G&P ACOG with a gun I received in a trade and the damn front lens was CHIPPED! The chunk was rolling around inside the bloody ACOG! On top of that there is this black looking smudge inside the mirrors where you can't get to.
Nothing can be done about it. I have a useless ACOG now.... |

contact the original owner and try to take it up with him. sorry to hear about your problem. though IMHO, unless its a RDS ACOG, i think they are pretty useless, what with their piss-poor eye relief. Though i am told that those are standard with the RS ones. So what do i know?

Why tell us about it? Contact the seller and come to an agreement.

Hey, Drache, this is the reason why you shouldn't trade with someone unless you really know the person. It doesn't matter how well-known the person is on ASC.
It could be well that the ACOG was broken right from the beginning. So, next time, we should all buy new items, as second-hand items are hardly any good unless the person really babies his airsoft belongings.

I don't blame the seller for it. I count it as the same bad luck I've had buying a brand new AEG and a month later when I finally get to game it, the gears blow out 10 minutes into the game. Thus the rant and not going after the seller. The seller offered to pay for it but I told him that it wasn't necessary. I didn't pay cash for it, it was included in a trade with an AEG. It was packed in bubble wrap, infact then entire gun was. If you are going to ship a broken item why pack it in bubble wrap? |

take the claim with Canada Post or who ever delivered it. If the package was insured, you can retrieve part or all of it to replace the damaged item.

Ok then, Drache, since the seller offers to pay for it, it looks like it might not be his/her fault. Why would anyone who tries to sell a broken item want to pay for it if he/she can get away?
The shipping insurance would work as suggested above. This is the last suggestion that I can think of too.

I actually had an issue shipping my TM G17 sights to Winnipeg from Toronto. I purchased a prepaid Xpresspost envelope at work, guaranteed 2 days shipping, and sent it on Sept 17. It was picked up that evening(scanned into CP system) and should have arrived on the 19th. It didn't show and had zero tracking updates until the 22nd which it was then in Regina. I submitted a claim that night stating that it clearly said guaranteed 2 days on the envelope. Ended up being delivered on the 23rd. Didn't get word from customer service until yesterday, the 25th, that they are looking into refunding me my postage. In part or full, I'm happy that they are even considering a refund.
