Changing a fixed hopup?

Originally, i had figured id just deal with a slight drop in my TM M9 Tac Master, but id prefer not to have to basically waste every first shot i do just so i can get the compensation right. (Just tested and from roughly 30 feet away its dropping about 16" and its 6" to the right as well, this is with both .20s and .25s) Now, realizing that the gun has a set hop-up i looked around and apparently you can also "set" a hop-up by taking it apart and doing... something. So I was just wondering how easy it is to do, and well, how to do it. I don't want to take it apart before i know everything about it just to put it back together and not have it work at all. Any help or advice you guys can give would be much appreciated.
