2008 PTW CQB

Here is my 2008 PTW CQB. The parts that went on after are listed from the back to the front:
•Daniel Defence sling mount
•VLTOR MUR
•551 Eotech
•Daniel defence Lite 9.5” rail with ladder covers
•Dytac verti grip
•Surefire 962 with pressure pad
•Noveske KX3 suppressor
•VLTOR front flip up sight (replica)
The pistol is just a TM M92F but I added the Crimson Trace Laser grips.

Too much flash in pictures =\ I know for a fact it could look much better... try natural lighting and no flash

When I first saw the picture I was like "wow, that gun looks familiar!". I was lucky enough to see this beast yesterday and Trevor was also nice enough to let me shoot it!

EDIT: The Dytac vert. grip was probably one of my favorite things about the gun actually.

Wow that is a badass AEG, Actually the nicest one I have ever seen. All top quality products too. A lot of real steel on there. You have a LE job? Did you have to modify the upper receiver to fit the DD rail? How is the weight on it. The DD rail looks like it would not be too heavy being so perforated.

That's pretty hot Trevor, love how it's flush to the front, still waiting on my CASV.

No, I just wanted all the real bits since most of the clones I had used before had some "issues", and I had the chance to get all the parts I wanted at once. The MUR (or any RS upper) needs to be milled out slightly so the cylinders will fit. I took it to a local shop and they modified it for $50. The DD systems are extremely light! This is 1 of their claims to fame. The MUR adds a lot of weight, a teammate has the same setup in a M4 without the MUR and his is noticeably lighter. That is the only thing I dislike with the gun, carrying it all day.

Qlong, I ran a CASV on my other M4 but have switched it back to the original PTW handgaurds since this 1 has the rails for night games with the flashlight.

IIRC, RS AR needs to be cocked before being locked. Otherwise it stays in semi.

I gotta say that I am totally infatuated with your build. I see it in my sleep. I just bought a finished Hurricane HK416 and I cant stop looking at your AEG. I am going to apologize to you right now but I think I am going to have to build one similiar to yours or else I am gonna go insane. I won't post it here and if I post it anywhere I would give you the props on the build. I would not do it with Systema though. Systema is top notch, but I would use KWA to save some money. That DD 9.5 Lite rail with the Vltor front flip up and the Noveske flashhider is THE ABSOLUTE NUTZ!!!!!! Once again, I aplologize ahead of time if I bite but that AEG is killing me!!!!!!

Thanks, don't worry about taking any ideas, I spent a bit of time looking at other people's setups before committing to this 1. It should only be a matter of time before the DD systems are copied. The 1 thing I suggest is if you want the eotech look and actually use it to sight targets, try and find a real 1-they cost a lot but after trying out 2 clones it is worth it to be able to have the real thing. You should be able to make your 416 look sweet.

Thanks. My HK is real nice but I just like yours better, also being a Hurricane kit, I dont want to skirmish with it. I was about to buy a JG version of the 416 and then I saw your AEG. Yours is very unique. I have always loved the DD RIS. As for copying the DD RIS it will probably take some time. I know there are copies of the DD omega rail, but I like the lite rails for the perforations on the bottom rails. I am partial to the aimpoints myself. Are the EOTechs much lighter?

I think the weights are similar but the field of view on the eotechs is much better. The aimpoint replicas are good enough for airsoft so I you could save some cash on that. A guy here has the hurricane kit-the gun looks very nice. In some ways it's to bad JG came out with theirs since it was a very unique piece before.
