Come again?

Well, if you want to paint it up for hiding with it, krylon paints are the place to be; as they have large line up of flat colour sprays.

Now if you're lookin' for texture, you can get texturized paints, but I really don't recommend them. They rub off leaving ugly marks and annoying patterns. I prefer to get the peel and stick grip tape; just cut to shape, peel off the paper and apply it to the stock in your high traffic areas.

Krylon camo paint is for the most part really shitty colours. I'll dig up the brand (EDIT: AERVOE, most of the colours they have in spray cans are close to the same colours found in CADPAT, $7 per can) I prefer, I get it from a local hardware store for the same price and they have much nicer colours for camo paint. Also, hobby shops have great selection of colours, except largely they are water based and require an airbursh to use (or paintbrush if you have patience.)

If you want a textured no-slip feel on your grips, I have used skater grip tape really well on most of my airsoft guns.

I doubt he's referring to griptape like you'd see on a skateboard.

sounds like skateboard griptape to me.

i've seen this rubber tape stuff that bonds to itself when you overlap it. they sell it at canadian tire or other hardware stores... might be interesting to try out. looks kinda like electrical tape. i used it as grip on my hammer when i was building houses, and as a cheap replacement grip for one of my ball teams bats.

Is exactly the stuff I referred to. Cut it to shape, stick it on, and use another peice of grip tape to rub against what you put on your gun to smooth out the sharp edges. And, it holds paint well yet still gives a great grip. Stuff is same as sand paper, holds great, and literally only need to dull the sharp stuff by rubbing, pretty retard simpole, and the stuff is cheap too (and holds well, have it on both MP5 grips, MP5A foregrip also, both G19s, my M24............... etc.)

The stuff you refer to I use at work often, it's generally called fusion tape, or something along those lines. Isn't that great for wear, is made of silicon and will tear off rather easily if in a high wear area. I use it often, but not too much on airsoft guns.

Man, I don't know what its like in Alberta but every Canadian Tire store I've been to carries Krylon paint. Did you ask anyone or did you wander around the paint section on your own?

I worked at CT for an embarassing amount of time and more often than naught people would get pissed off because we don't carry something...turns out they weren't looking in the right place.

Best bet is to ask someone, someone older not the students that work there.

Seriously man, with the amount of changes Canadian Tire goes through, the amount of rearranges, I wouldn't be surprised if you found the paint in the lunch room vending machines.

I just heard yesterday tht the Krylon camo series is discontinued. Crappy tire only had one can of tan and a few OD's left and said no more were comming in because of this.

This is indeed crappy news. I was going to pick up some Krylon this weekend from CT.
I guess you can give looking in the vending machines a miss.
