Redwolf Airsoft - Systema MP5A4 PTW Preview
It's pretty awesome and if their new Revolution box operates anything like it I'm sold.

Is it just me or in the very end can you hear it dry firing?
I don't see how that can make you want it so bad, other than the electronic trigger that always completes the cycle and stops the burst when you release, you can't tell its any different from a standard ver.2 MP5. That video shows nothing of its accuracy other than some cans that I could knock down by throwing a rock, it doesn't show the cylinder swap, it doesn't show much of anything actually. I'd want a complete written review about everything in detail before I will say its awesome, not just a video of some guy knocking down cans like the 12 year old kid reviews out of the states talking about how awesome their stock TM M4A1 is. Agree Lut, want some more action from it! I could knock those cans over at that distance with a Crappy Tire springer...

Apparently, the pre-production stuff shown at Shot Show does dry fire. Whether this means that the interlocking was not working properly, or it does not exist, I can't say.
This comes from Zilch at Systema Europe, as I wasn't at Shot Show.

Yeah, I saw that video earlier. Also not really impressed with it. I don't give a shit what fancy computer-controlled electronics these have. From what I can see so far, it's nothing you can't get out of a stock ICS or CA, or an upgraded TM. Other than the burst mode (which is nice to have), I don't see any real advantages. With a little trigger discipline, you can easily fire bursts in full-auto too.
Get a full metal MP5 of another brand and insert a complete Systema mechbox if you're that anal about it, and you'll have something very comparable.

I hope its only the preproduction one that dry fires, can't call it a professional TRAINING weapon if military and law enforcement wont even consider it because it dry fires.
I'm not saying the gun is crap, just that the video doesn't show anything special about the gun. Ideally I'd want an MP5 PTW for CQB but for the massive price difference, I'll just get a CA or ICS (or a second M4A1 PTW ) |

I'm also hoping that this is just a preproduction model, because I would (down the road) seriously consider buying one of these if they can up the realism factor to be in line with their Armalite models. To me, I wouldn't spend the $1500+ that thing will cost in Canada if it dry fires...

Best check your info. This has been discussed already on the PTW forums. There's some Mil guys present there and they've listed who uses them, and this is in just the U.S.

I think people are expecting too much with that mechbox, I mean, stop comparing it to the Systema PTWs. Yes it has some upgrade features to it (which are attractive) and won't need to deal with cracked mechboxes anymore, the circuit is nice too, even if it dry fires. And seems pretty good on the chrony from what I saw for results.
But, I wouldn't buy one since it's gonna be at least $500 once it hits the market here. Mechboxes cost me $40 each, if I spend that every two years, no biggie. Reliable? Ran my MP5SD for two solid years without even opening it and was running a decent PDI 150% spring (that eventually broke the Hurricane mechbox.) It's a better designed replacement V2 mechbox that is "The Next Generation" for CA and TM airsoft guns. Go drool on your PTWs elsewhere. |

Stalker, this isn't the drop in revolution mechbox from the other threads, this is the "PTW MP5" with a retail price of $1500-2000.
