The frame is all plastic with metal rails inserted into the frame; unlike the Hi-Capa's where half of the frame is all metal.

Over 25 years ago when I was into real steel, I had a Colt Gov't Mark IV Series 70. I had ported it, bevelled the mag well, installed a recoil spring buffer, installed a long trigger with stop, and put Pachmyer Grips on it for getting my IPSC certification. It was a nice gun. Very accurate out of the box. I've not had it since I gave up real steel. And, that was over 25 years ago.

Wow, you made it look not-plasticy like it normally looks.

Good job!

Given up real steel as well.

Airsoft doesn't kill anyone and you can shoot people with it.

Besides, my girlfriend doesn't like real steel so since I don't have any no more, it means more sex for me.

And on topic: I really love those pics. Makes that simple 1911 looks awesome. I wish I had better skills at taking closeup pictures of objects.
