KSC G19 mags not filling completely

I just got my KSC G19 from A&A today along with a propane adapter. The mag looks incredibly small compared to my WA speedcomp mag so I assume it probably doesn't need to be charged for as long. I put about 3-4 secs of propane and loaded some BBs. It didn't get through half the clip before the gas started dying on me. So I fill the mag for 8 seconds and this time, the blowback was harder but it still died after 3/4 of the clip. Shouldn't I get at least 2 mags worth of BBs with one mag charge? I have a feeling that the mag isn't filling completely. Is there something wrong?

thanks

Where are you filling and shooting the gun? Inside? Outside?

You should be getting about two mags worth. I'm assuming you fill the mags inversed? Are you inside?

I'm using it inside... As for the filling part, I am filling them upside-down like usual.

Are you shooting level? A glock shot gangsta style or upside down is going to vomit it's gas in a few shots.

Not 100% sure here without looking it up, but I believe that your gun takes the same magazines are my KSC Glock 17. This is my experience with them.

With my gun stock, I couldn't get 2 full mags off one gas charge. I would be good for about 35-40 rounds or so from one charge before being empty. I would fill it about 7-8 seconds, shoot, give it a small 2-3 second top-up, and would get another full mag off with a bit of gas to spare so I didn't start losing pressure on my last few shots.

Since I upgraded to a metal slide and stiffer spring, I can only get around 28-30 shots on a single fill. I've tested this with all 4 of my magazines (2 I've had for a while, 2 brand new I got a few days ago) and they're all pretty consistent. That's just enough gas for one magazine with all the shots at full power, and that's all I really care about.

However, it's odd that yours seems underpowered like that. Try putting some silicone oil on the output valve and working it in to make sure the valve action is nice and smooth. On one of the new mags I received for my KJW M9, the valve was really stiff at first, and it would discharge way too much gas. I wouldn't be able to get a full mag out of it, where I can get about 40 shots out of a fill normally. I had to apply a lot of silicone oil to the valve and work it in before it worked normally.

I'm firing it normally... I forgot to mention that I also put a metal slide on it... Still only getting 10 rnds or so per mag fill...

Looked it up, we don't have the same mags after all, but still close enough...

Just a question though. Did you fire it at all with the stock plastic slide and did it work? When you installed the metal slide, did you also install a stiffer recoil spring or keep the stock spring?

Maybe you have a slow leak in your bottom valve? I have a KWA G-19 and the two mag's I have for them get 46 shot's per fill. One of the mag's is a KSC and the other is the stock one that came with the unit. There about a year & half old.Try sitting the rubbers for the mag's in some silicone oil over night and see what happens when they swell up alittle?

Didn't fire it with the stock slide... There are no leaks in the mag either... I do believe that all KSC glock mags are compatable as long as they are long enough. I did install an upgraded recoil spring the mag is also stock.

OK. I was thinking that perhaps if you had the stock spring with the heavier metal slide that it was perhaps taking up more gas cycling the slide back with not enough eough spring resistance (if that could even happen).

I would suggest maybe you should try to reinstall the stock parts and see if the gun does fire that way. That would confirm or eliminate that the problem is with the lower part of the gun (mag, hammer, etc) or the upper (problem with the upgrade parts, an error in assembly, etc...)
