Protec Ace Helmet with Helmet Covers

Hey guys,

I have just purchased a "used" Protec helmet from a local skater for 20$ and it's like brand new condition. Well, I have ordered some things from Ebay. Digital Desert 3 colour BDUs going for BHD and thinking to order a matching Helmet cover. I haven't seen anyone having a Helmet Cover on their Protecs.

The question is, " Will they fit onto a Protec Ace helmets? "

If anyone has had them on, may you post pics to motivate me purchasing a cover if they fit.

they didnt use digital camo in BHD. also, the delta guys didnt use helmet covers.
but, if you want to do it anyways, i dont think MITCH covers will fit b/c of the "ear bulges" on that helmet.

I agree. On PASGT and MICH because of the shapes. In BHD it depends on what soldier you are trying to copy. Rangers wore PASGT helmets with the desert tri-colour cover. The Delta's wore pro-tech helmets with no covers on them.

Six-color 'chocolate chips'

Anywho, the Protec doesn't fit for the PASGT or MICH covers, unless you're planning on cutting them down and modifying them...alot.
There is one company (KHS?) that made a cover in Flecktarn, but that's about it.

The reason you don't see anyone wearing covers on their Protec's is because in the real world they're only worn in tactical situations and usually in built up areas. In these occasions, camoflage isn't exactly useful as speed and surprise.

Delta also used the I-Tech helmets. But as stated above it probably wont fit on the Pro-Tec because MICH helmets have big ears so they can be used with Communication systems.

Oh, I just looked at the PASGT helmets and MICH..
Sucks. Well Their Delta force helmets are pretty cool. Yes BHD doesn't use digital, but I had to get Digital for a bargain. Only desert camo like I wanted. Time for ESS goggles.

So you guys think I should just leave the helmet the way it is for a BHD look?
I have a American patch already. Just not sure why is one backwards? What patches do BHD wear?

Man, you know, people say you need to do a search before posting questions and the such about guns, the same really applies to gear, especially for something which has been so thoroughly covered as BHD equipment.

For a 'BHD Protec' afaik you need the classic version in black to start.

Digital desert 3 colors? Not quite sure what that means, but you need the classic 3 color BDU not 'digital'.

As for helmet cover for a protec, no, you don't need it, and they didn't have it.

I did research for BHD equipment. I just asked if the covers will fit.
But it's alright, I'll go and be original with my style.

Remember what happened last time you tried that?

Something along the lines of

"US SECRET SERVICE"
and whiteout... Ringing any bells?

But nothing can go wrong with having your own style in military gear.

BHD is not a person/team/organization/operator

As for the 'backwards' flag, it's worn on the right sleeve. Nothing special, it's just the US standard to have all their flags facing forward.

Just paint the helmet tan if you're really keen on using it (Krylon camo Khaki) and forget about BHD.

Actually, there is such a thing as failure in all things stylistic, as you have so clearly demonstrated.

Beside, why would you be concerned about a BHD impression at all, since you have a G36, amirite? Never mind the fact that you probably won't make it to any games, age and all...
