Trouble with new Kraken

Hi there I have been a long time lurker on this board and have finally took the plunge and bought my first airsoft.
Anyhow I took the rifle from the package plugged in the charger and after one hour I test fired approximatley 20-30 shots.
I then placed the battery back on charge for another hour and 15 minutes to complete the charge, now to my dismay the rifle makes a soft ''clunk'' and nothing else happens.
I checked the fuse and that is fine, did I over charge the battery (8.4V 4/5sc 1200mAh P)?
What should I do now any suggestions or insight would be appreciated.
I will probably get chided for buying a Kraken but I read many positive reviews about this AEG.

Get your self a better charger like a TLP or something like that. And a better battery, a 2000mha or a 2400mha 8.4v battery.

Try not to cheap out on it, get something good.

Is the battery 'fried'' then?

Try dischargeing it,, then give it a full charge,,And I think a wall charger takes 6-12 hours to charge the battery fully,, I dont really know i use a TLP charger.

You can buy a discharger or you can make one. anything that will run the battery until its toally dead. like a computer cooling fan or lights or something like that. O taking the time to fill out your profile helps as well.

I hope you injoyed the spoon feeding.lol joke

You didnt charge it long enough, you should charge it for 12 hours the first time you charge it, and thats the sound it makes when youre battery is dead, just charge it and see if it works, if not, then youre battery is ruined and you get to go buy a good one.

take a moment and read your instruction booklet that came with your kraken. Your battery is fine when charged correctly. It recommends you charge the battery for 12 hours for the first charge, and generally 11 hours with the small charger that is supplied. If you purchase a charger (BBBastard hint hint) then you will be good to go in about 1.5 hours of charging.

I suggest you look in the Information section or search for the threads about care and feeding of batteries.

The basics; get a voltmeter, or get a really good charger. There are many brands but the better ones are computerized and do everything for you. Even recondition batteries and discharge them properly.

As you just noticed, nothing sucks more than a not-working gun because all you have is a crappy charger. So read up on the subject or go see what local players use.

The batteries that come with Krakens are total crap (I was a Kraken owner). I suggest picking up a new battery and try that, then if you still have the same problem, let us know.
