OpsGear Molle Spear Vest

I have been looking around for a good Molle vest that not only comes in ACU, but also looks good. And I think I have finally found one that I want to get.
The OpsGear MOLLE SPEAR Style Vest System:

Now I know what you might be thinking, WTF is that thing hanging down on the front? Well it is a REMOVABLE groin protector, and the shoulder pads, neck guard, and collar are also removable.

I would probably just play with the vest stripped down to the bare vest, however it's nice to have the option of adding the other things.

Here is a picture of the vest stripped down and the separate accessories:

What do you guys think?

It's already in use on the field here.

The groin protector is usefull in CQB.

Nifty.

I like how there are straps on the shoulders for more pouches or whatever. You could have some serious fun customizing that for your style of play.

ACBarf.....sorry had to lol...but to be honest from what i've been told, depending on where you play, a SPEAR system is bloody hot. Now that might seem trivial, but if you can get the same type of functionality out of a CIRAS or RAV type rig then i'd go that route. And plus, who doesn't think RAV/CIRAS vests aren't schexy...honestly....so hot right now...

Yea but I think for the price, I can't go wrong. Plus I really don't mind being hot and I do plan on playing in the winter months as well so at least for the winter I will probably enjoy the extra heat.

That just looks like a normal Interceptor system with the DAPS kit?

edit: that being said, I use one and have mixed feelings about it. For airsoft, the front opening is convinient... you can easily open it up to cool off, etc. If my life actually depended on this armor, though, I'd be living in fear. I use a SAPI plate in the front pocket, but I find the vest extremely (EXTREMELY) restrictive when the rear plate is also in (compared to other armors, like my FSBE AAV QR, which is restrictive but still very comfortable with both plates in -- and the same size FSBE accepts larger plates).

Well I think it's nifty. However, looks a bit like modern day knight armor on that guy in the picture above.

I would think that the groin protector would get in the way when kneeling...

It'd be cooler if there were straps on the groin protector also. Mag pouches on the vest, shoulders, and groin...

fuckin super soldier...

Nice, that looks like the same thing just at a much better price... Also this one lets you pick between two sizes. So it might fit better... Defiantly going with this one, has anyone else gotten one of these?

Nope, but after I get my replica Crye Chassis I might go for it.

It's pretty good quality based on the reviews. But other than that, I can't possibly tell you whether it's excellent or not.

Rest assured though, they're much better quality than Proud shit.

That is a pretty spiffy vest...too bad they dont make it in multicam. I really want deltoid (shoulder) protectors like that in multicam for my CIRAS...you guys know where I could get them?
