ver 2 pinion gear slipping

ok, so i go to fire my SR25 and all i hear is a whirling motor. so i remove the motor, and find that the pinion gear is spinning freely around the motor drive shaft. obviously something is wrong, but im wondering what. is it:
a) the pinion gear is too big (buy a new pinion gear)
-or-
b) the drive shaft is too small (buy a new motor)
waddya think?

Is there a small grub screw to the side of the pinion that you can tighten? If not you can also consider epoxy.

I don't know if a grub screw is the answer if your pinion isn't the kind that has one flat side. You might as well go for a new pinion gear.

Or a new motor altogether. What brand is your gun? And I'm assuming that motor is stock still?

An Eagle Force Hummer 1300L would be perfect for your application.

Actually, your setup can handle an 1100L just fine. I can't see you requiring the extra torque that a 1300L provides.

The Eagle Force motors are better than OEM motor available (including Tokyo Marui.) The Systema motors are nice as well, but they're a bit too extreme. You're paying more for performance that you don't need for your application, unless you're planning on hitting 470+fps.

Makes me wonder why they put a HS motor in a box with such a high-tension spring.

yah, i couldnt figure that one out either. maybe it has something to do with keeping the ROF (relatively) low.
