2h at 2.5A for a 4200mAh battery sounds about right but (I think, someone correct me if I am wrong) the short lifespan of the battery is probably hinting at something wrong with your AEG. Is the battery hot when you remove it from your AEG? How about the botor or any other part of your AEG?

If you itemize exactly what is inside your mechbox (and if it was installed by someone with experience), we can take a shot at figuring out why your battery does not last.

Such a battery should be enough for a few full days of gaming, and/or a full bag of ammo.

my HK 416

now that you mention the motor it did seam to give off some heat and i did have some problems fitting the motor in to the new SPR grip every time i mounted the motor it started to grind, I finally got it in and cycling without the grinding noise i was pushing the motor to for into the grip. I'm guessing but i bet its the fit of the motor....it does not make any grinding noises at all maybe I will change the grip to the original and see what happens.

As for the meckbox it is stock except I did change the piston but i had fielded the new piston with the battery and old handle and it did not have a problem.

My gun VFC HK416 DX
meckbox stock internals except for the piston everything in-side is metal

This has been a problem with someone else's 416 as well, I think.

If your motor is seated properly, and nothing was changed in the shimming, I have no idea what could be wrong.

I'd have someone look at it in person if possible.
