Help: Changing slide & Barrel for KSC USP .45
Can anyone help me out here:
i just received my ksc usp .45 metal slide & outer barrel but dont know how to change it with the stock one. i know how to get the slide off and take out the recoil spring and guide, but dont know what to do with the rest. I understand there is instructions in the manual in japanese but i cant understand it well enough to get the slide off and outer barrel on. I've tried but im scared i will break or damage something. Does anybody have some sort of procedure or guide of some sort to help me replace the slide and outer barrel? specific instructions with part #'s would be awesome! Thanks guys, MadLz |

UPDATE (PLEASE HELP ME): I just put on the metal slide & barrel (ksc usp .45) and something is wrong. the metal slide is perfect, however, when i put on the metal outer barrel, the inner barrel will not fit ALL the way in. This makes the hop up adjustment part stick out. the inner barrel will not lock into the outer barrel. it just slides out by itself. When i switched back to the plastic barrel + metal slide, the inner barrel locked with the outer plastic barrel perfectly, and the gun fired fine.
i think the problem is that the inner barrel cannot fit completely into the metal outer barrel. What should i do? is it a factory defect? the small pin (Part #12) will not lock the inner barrel onto the outer barrel because the part that the pin holds, is not far enough into the outer barrel. Here are some pictures to show exactly what my problem is: Normal ( the Stock Plastic Outer Barrel with the Inner barrel and hopup adjustment inside) TOPVIEW SIDE VIEW Problem Not Normal ( the new METAL Outer Barrel with the Inner Barrel and hopup adjustment inside, but will not fit completely) TOPVIEW SIDE VIEW Thanks, Please reply asap Mike |

PROBLEM SOLVED!!!!!!!!!!! All i needed to do was file the end of the outer barrel so that the inner barrel could go further in. The aftermarket barrel was probably a ltitle too small in the opening =]
