Battery/Connector Size
Hi there fellow peoples. I am in need of a little help with batteries.
I'm buying a battery pack for an AUG here: http://www.cheapbatterypacks.com/mai...r=15&model=159 Now my question is...the numbers 600 and 1500 for the packs I'm assuming is mAh. What kind of a connector do I need? The seller of the gun I just bought said "regular connection" so I'm assuming that's large? If so...what do I need, a male or female connector on the battery? Thanks |

The TM Aug comes stock with a mini connector since it wasn't intended to fit a large battery. The battery will come with the female side. No matter what though, if you end up with mismatched connectors, the proper ones can be had from Sayal, Active Surplus, or someother electronics supplier. (edit #2 oops these are stores in T.O.) Best to find out what they mean by 'regular connection' though.
It's late, but I've got a feeling those 1500mAh cells are going to be a bit tight without some modification to your gun, or reshaping the battery pack. edit: I'm a fan of the HBAR. Do you have any pics of your aug right now? Is it a proper heavy barrel with Steyr bipod? Last edited by Murdoch; August 1st, 2007 at 05:49.. |

Thanks for the info. Yeah it has an extended barrel. Not sure exactly what the bipod is though. I haven't received it yet! And yeah I could probably just get a converter connector from a store locally.
Oh, and that battery was designed for an AUG. They have sections to premade battery packs for certain Airsoft guns from companies like TM, CA, etc. Last edited by Styrak; August 1st, 2007 at 06:03.. |

You're right, you could get a converter, but try to limit the number of joints in the wire. You'll get less heating, and more power to the motor. Again, this may be a non-issue, but if you or a friend knows how to solder (AND you have mismatched connectors) then buy a new connector for a buck or two and solder it on properly.... or just make sure that cheapbatterypacks.com hooks up the right one.

Yeah I have a feeling I should just wait for the gun. But then I can't start shooting till the battery arrives. Double . Oh well. Yeah I can solder shit if I need to. I'll probably post some shit up in the media section when I get the gun. Stay tuned!
