Broken Piston O-ring

I've never run into this problem before.. What are my options on replacing it? I went down to the local parts store but they dont have anything that matches it. And i cant seem to find anyone that sells JUST the O-ring.

Not sure, youd probably be best to purchase a used piston head from someone thats identical to yours, and taking the ring, or invest in an upgraded piston head like I did.. lol

An unused condom should work fine. Lubricated will save you a step.

Lol, ignore that. Ya, there are options out there, should try other stores in your area if you can. If not, you can ask some of your local guys that work on airsoft guns if they might have an extra kicking around you could buy for a couple bucks. Or, like above, buy a new piston head.

If the piston head isnt damaged, dont quote me but it sounds right, find a stock CA used piston head from somewhere, buy it, and swap rings? Would that work good enough with some oil?

No not Droc, but he's a bud of mine and has corrupted me (to the point htat last game, Sniper Hunt 2, I went around leaving tampons at enemy objectives we took, each one had "IN CASE OF SUDISTAN RAPAGE" written on with marker.

Anyways, for the most part, a large number of O-rings work across the board as far as size goes. I think it's safe to assume at least an 80% compatibility across general brands such as CA, TM, etc. I found ICS to be different, but that was only having the experience putting an ICS piston head into a CA SCAR, zero compression, stock TM pistonheads, same deal. Had to keep the ICS head on the piston to get any compression.

Go to an industrial supply shop and take the damaged oring with you. Home Depot might have something as well. If you're really desperate, find an MSA air pack service center and see if they will sell you an oring, part number 60707. They aren't inexpensive (about $8-$10 cdn each), but they are slightly larger than the stock oring and they seal great without being too tight and they will take much more abuse than the orings in the stock piston heads as they are designed to withstand +4500 psi in the air pack.

Crap Tire. Bring your O-ring and look for the right size. I forgot what section.
