Satellite Battery Sling
Does anyone have any experience using these things?
http://www.wgcshop.com/pcart/shopper...attery%20sling I have a TM Sig552 with internal upgrades and I want to be able to use a 9.6V without using an ANPEQ or something similar.

That's an option... or if you're willing to spend a bit more cash, I'd HIGHLY recommend the Systema Magnum motor and/or appropriately torqued up gears.

Will that allow me to fit a 9.6?? Or make it so I only need an 8.4...

You'll be able to just use an 8.4v mini battery. You'd probably even pull higher ROF too.

I thought torque up gears reduced ROF...

They do how ever they will increase your rof for your spring opposed to using a 9.6.

They will, especially with a mini battery. Which is why I recommend the Magnum motor first, for your particular application.
What velocity are you pushing, or trying to achieve? |

I got that sling with my SIG. Works perfectly, but you have to get rid of the connector head so you can get it thru the hole.

I have a m120 spring, so a little under 400 i guess.

If you can squeeze it in to your budget, I'd highly recommend the Magnum motor plus a set of Systema Torque up gears (or Prometheus double torque). You'll get both increased battery life as well as improved ROF with that combo.
I run a similar setup in my P90 and I can crank 450fps springs using a mini, which achieves reasonable ROF. |

Thanks for the info Brian...
Now I have to decide whether I want to spend $70 on the sling, $200 on the motor and gears or just live with lower ROF...does it ever end?

One glance at my ever increasing collection, and I'd have to say the answer, unfortunately, is "no". lol
