Mechbox Screws

Had a stripped screw in a CA M15A4 mechbox. Now I need to find a replacement. Had a look at Canadian Tire and couldnt find anything. Does anyone know the proper size or where to get a replacement? thanks.

PC case screws can replace the screws that hold grips onto mechboxes, but not hold mechbox halves together. I don't know what CA used for the M15, but is it a fine thread or coarse thread? Also, is it Phillips or Allen key type? Pan head or counter sunk?

Chances are it's an M3x *length in millimeters*. Take another one out of your mechbox, and go to a local specialty fasteners store, they should be able to give you a quantity for a reasonable price. Or, be sneaky like us electronics guys, ask for a sample! Lol

Check out electronics parts stores. They usually carry small screws. Mode Electronics distributes a small pocketed case with various sized small screws which are amazingly handy for your mechbox.

ITs a 4x40 flat head screw. CT has it. I spent an hour searching for it. The bad thing is they dont have one in steel just in copper. Which is easily stripped.

I ordered a bunch of spare parts from http://www.blazingtoys.com/ a few weeks ago. The guy I emailed there was excellent to deal with. Normally I'd buy Canadian but there aren't any ICS distributors in Canada anymore so I chose these folks after emailing 3 different dealers in the US. They carry all sorts of small parts that are good to have handy in case you lose or break anything. I only ordered internals for my ICS M4 so there were no customs problems. The shipment came in very fast as well.

Went back to CT. Found them there, guess I missed them yesturday. They were an M3x0.50 for the record. They had the pan head ones but no counter sunk. 15 cents each. Thanks all for your help.
