911gear.ca's "Tactical Assault Vest"
I have been looking for a new tactical vest lately and I came across an interesting looking piece of kit on 911gear.ca called, simply, the "Tactical Assault Vest" and its listed for only $61.99 CDN! Can anyone comment on the quality of the vest?
Here's is a photo (taken directly from the site) for visual reference: Here's the link to the page I found it: http://www.911gear.ca/product_info.p...roducts_id=402 |

SDU? I'd be buying it in solid black. Black goes well with solid OD, tan, and black BDU's. Going for more of a private contractor/mercenary feel.

I just don't want a chest "rig" and don't really feel like dishing out the cash for a CIRAS system. Looking for the full vest look, almost like the older Eagles but, I dunno... more swat/armored looking. Just saw that price and wondered if it could possibly be any good for so little, as I was expecting that even cheap vests would start at over twice that!

PMCs aren't allowed to wear camo patterns in-field, mixes them up with regular army. FYI.

Ciras is more like 2 purchases.. Yes you pay $300 after all said and done..
BUT now you have POUCHES.. All you need to do now is get a new vest depending on what you are going to do and move pouches over.. NO need to buy another fucking vest with pouches.. You basically bought 2 vests! I bought my Ciras late last year.. Now I just bought a LBE Harness for the summer as a CIRAS is like death in heat. So basically I just saved myself $100. Now when I buy my Modular Crye Style Belt I can move my pouches to that and be totally agile and no restrictions and a light load. Used for more of the RECON style attacks..

My guess is that it will be about the quality as those Rodensian knockoff quality.
The reaction you get here would be similar to what you get on the field.

Thats actually not bad at all, Goldman! Thanks a bunch! Since 90% of all my games played are going to be outdoors (gotta love Ontario for that one), I'm going solid OD for the vest.
I think thats the wisest colour call, right? It goes with solids (tan and OD can work together I suppose) as well as CADPAT and other popular cam patterns. Later on down the road I'll have several different themes going on, but right now I want a one-outfit-fits-most sort of deal to mark my reintegration back into this wonderful sport. Thanks for the constructive criticism guys, I really appreciate it. |

OD goes with anything. Stay away from black. It attracts bugs and BB's.
