Arrow BB's wont come out... (yes ive tried the hopup)

I got my SIG all back together after upgrading the spring, bushings, spring guard and shims and it wont fire bb's. every once in a while it will shoot a really slow one or 2 at a time. there is plenty of air coming out of the barrel (more then before i upgraded) and the bb's get into the barrel, they just wont come out. I havent touched the barrel or hopup or anything like that. Ive tried adjusting the hopup both ways and i dont know what else to do.

Also there doesnt seem to be any gun doctors in Saskatoon... if you can fix my mistake ill gladly pay for labor (i prefer the person working on my gun to be in Saskatoon so i can drop it off insted of shipping it.

Light wipe of silicon oil on the rubber around the BB contact areas and a barrel clean should help a lot.

I cleaned it and gave it a quick silicon job but its still not shooting. I have no idea what could have happened since i didnt touch the barrel assembly and its still shooting plenty of air.

Have you tried to phone Roger at Mr paintball. If you bought your gun tehre i think they do free work on it for a while. Tell me if you need the number I got it handy. Good luck fixing it though.

from what i have heard roger doesnt really work on airsoft guns. I could ask him but i think i would be more comfortable leaving my gun in the hands of a person i know has alot of experence and will do a good job.

maybe the since you said you worked on the barrel it's not properly reinstalled? and out of my experiance on this site (which isn't much but still) when an aeg don't seem to fire it's usually the gear box just saying

as i said i DIDNT work on the barrel and there is alot of air coming out of the nozzel. I dont think its a gearbox problem since i put the box back together and it works like it should, the air is there but the bb's arent.

Again if there is anyone in or near Saskatoon that would take my gun and fix er up i would be more than willing to pay (there doesnt seem to be anyone in Saskatoon besides Roger at Mr. Paintball)

Have you tried taking it apart and realigning the gearbox etc. You could have loosened a screw and it moved or something. I have never taken apart an AEG before just read about it.

- Any chance you left out the spring which resets the tappet plate?
- Could the arm of the tappet plate that engages the sector gear be out of position?
- Is the nozzle sitting properly in the arms of the tappet plate?

Any chance you put the tappet plate spring on upside down? Who shimmed the gearbox?

Put safety glass on, flip the gun over and shine a light into the magwell loading tube and dry fire it, see if the nozzle is moving back & forth like it should. If so, how far forward does it go?

The nozzel is (from what i can see) moving as it should. It is all the way forward when the gun fires and comes back for a second just after the gun fires. Thats the way its supposed to work right?

No i know i had it on

The arm was all the way down with no tension from the tab on the gear when i put it back in

Possibly but from the looks of it the nozzel is moving as it should

Kinda dumb question, but how many mags do you have for the gun? If a few, do they all do the same thing? If only the one, try putting a couple drops of oil inside of it, fill it with BBs, dump them all out, then fill it again with the same BBs (they will carry the oil around and best to use the same ones repeatedly to lube up your mags). Could be your mag is faulty, sticking a bit and not feeding BBs at a consistant rate. If this isn't the problem, at least you've eliminated it as the problem.

I have 2 mags, a highcap and a low cap. The same thing happens with both mags and they both SEEM to be feeding properly (dont ask me how i can tell since the gun isnt working anyways). I have never had any problems with either mags before the upgrade.
