Surplus shops may have the 6 color, but eBay will probably be the place to go.
Oh, and LC2 webbing over RBA if I remember correctly.

*free plug for swatt13* He has one for sale over in buy/sell zone.
http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=26762 As for webbing, Lerch was bang on with LC2 over the Ranger Body Armor that you can get repo from like WGC.

If you wanna do the whole black hawk down style getup, and wanna be historically accurate, use full 6 colour pattern BDUs, because that's what they really used. But the 3 colour does look cooler.

So was this mix of des' kit because '93 was the first year that the 3-color was issued?
Seems to look like it. Kinda like when CADPAT first got issued.

3color DCU was used in the Gulf War, but there wasnt that much. Only seen a few pics of Rangers wearing it.

Maybe back in the day...
Now it's the ACU/DCU mix. But in any case, BHD is a good reference for the uniform. Des' boots and knee pads too.

Regular units also wore a mix of 3 color an DCU in Somalia. Just depended on whats available from supply at the time. 3 color helmet covers probably won't out in the system at that time aswell. |
