Help - Glock 18C BB Problem (pictures included)

Hopeing somebody could help me here, I am helping out a friend that is having a problem with there Glock 18C that is not feeding the BB's correctly.
I checked the forum and a bunch of other links but with no real luck apart from replacing part #10

Problem is when the slide moves forward it "pops" the BB out of the mag and rather than the BB sliding into the chamber is falls under the chamber and blocks the slide from going forward.
I've taken it apart and did not notice anything broken or missing, and I have tried different mags (Standard & Extended) but the same problems comes up.
The only thing that I can think of is that the lips of the mag that hold the BB in are worn and letting the BB's loose before they should. Or there is a part of the loading lip between the top of the mag and the chamber is missing.

Jakster,

I would start with checking if the o-ring is present on the end of the inner barrel.

And make sure the recoil spring guide is where it is supposed to be.



Comparing my G18C and your photos show 2 descrepencies.

1 - the nozzel (part #22) seems a little worn.
2 - the loading ramp (part #10) sits low inside the outer barrel.

Check to o-ring and the recoil spring guide placement, before changing any parts.

Thanks Dirty, think you found the problem. Looks like the part you pointed out is actually broken. And is not flush with the end of the nozzle like the one in your photo Now it looks like I need to find part number 22 from this diagram http://www.unconventional-airsoft.co...kpartslist.gif

I have had alot of success in fixing the broken tab. I have done this by doing the following:
- get a small peice of music wire or brass stock and matching drill bit. This should be around 1/64 - 1/32" in diameter.
- drill a hole into the center of the tab that feeds ammo on the bottom of the expansion chamber about 1/4" - 1/2" deep.
- make sure the wire you have will fit in the hole. If it doesn't fit put wire in a drill and sand with emery cloth or a 320 grit sand paper until it will fit.
- crazy glue the wire into the hole and hammer the wire in to make sure it's in all the way.
- cut the wire so it's flush with the front of the expansion chamber. File if needed.
- use a file and file a small bevel on the sides and bottom of the tab. The purpose here is to have a larger surface area for the epoxy to bond to once the epoxy has been dried/files flush.
- use a hobby knife and score or cut lines on the surface of this bevel and the front of the tab. This will allow the epoxy to have a bettter bond or grip to the surface.
- get some metal filled epoxy (JB weld would work as well) and prepare it (mix) it as per the instructions.
- apply the epoxy with a tooth pick around the wire and all around the front of the tab. You may need to do two applications and if you do let it harden for a few minutes before you apply the second coat. You want to make sure there is enough epoxy to buldge out larger then if the tab was brand new so you can file/sand it down to the correct size.
- let the part fully cure for 24 hours before you continue
- file/sand the part so the front of the tab is flush with the front of the expansion chamber as well the sides/bottom is flush with the expansion chamber. Remember to sand/file lightly as you don't want to break this peice off.

All done. I have done this a couple times and even after several hundred shots have yet to see this fix fail or fall apart.
