CIRAS Vest how do you put it back together?
Of couse i got my vest today and of course i HAD to pull the cord and see how it worked now i have my vest in a number of pieces and was wondering if someone could walk me through as to how to put it back together :P

still have a questions though, where do the 2 flaps with the valcro go?

im talking about the velcro flaps you use to secure the rig to your body.

They should go on before you put the outer flaps on. So you do the shoulder strap, then the inner belt, than the outer belt.

i know but where do i put them after they are attached if u put them on they go right over top of the mag pouches... where do they go?

Ther are three sets of straps that run back to the tether point:
Two Shoulder straps Two Side straps Two Cumberbund Straps The two shoulder straps should go down first on the tether (the little looped piece of paracord that is attached to the back of the rig) The cumberbund straps go on next. On each side of the back of the vest, there is a strip of elastic material. The cumberbund straps run through these. The next set of straps is the side straps. These run OVER the elastic on either side of the vest. The elastic pieces keep the two straps separate so the don't snag on each other. Run the cable through the tether and secure it the wway it was secured when you got it, usually with another piece of string.

I did it to, but only after opening up the panel to see how it went together. Incidentally, I didn't find it came apart all that quickly or effeciently myself.
