Fps loss after upgrading V2.

Orignally I was using an mp5 with a pdi 140 spring, after upgrading my gun to contain a gauder hop (black type), promethius 407mm barrel, gaurder m4 cylinder, piston, bearing piston head and bearing spring guide: i have noticed my fps droping from ~355ish to ~340ish. around 10 to 15 fps lower consistantly. I am wondering if I am using the wrong cylinder for this length of barrel, or if there is another explination for this as I would have expected an increase. Thanks in advance for your replies.

Could it be the Guarder black stuff? AFAICT, both the bucking and nob are stiffer and thicker than typical stock stuff, so even at minimal setting you'll be getting more hop than you used to.

Yeah.. I suggest you go with the clear too, maybe not much for fps as accuracy and consistancy, or at least put in the original bucking. I put in a guarder and it was just too much, I ended up changing the bucking back in a few minutes.

Can't speak for the nub though, I lost my original -- hense why I replaced it.

My indoor gun (330FPS) was suffering FPS loss and occasional double feeding with Guarder hopup sleeve. I was thinking the same thing Saint just said when reading your post. Try TM sleeve. It fixed my problem.

mine was double feeding at the start too. i lubed it a bit more and that stopped. but fps stayed the same. i still have my old tm sleve so i'll try putting that back and see what happens. thanks. the hop was the one thing i didnt think could be the problem, lol, almost didnt include it in my list. thanks for the help

To deal with the Guarder hopup issue, I used my softer stock nub with the black stuff. That seems allow me to adjust my hopup with more finesse, although I've not had a chance to test that considerably.

ive read the parts that you have replaced and i noticed that you didnt list the cylinder head and air nossle....is your cylinder head and air nossle still running on stock parts? coz it's possible that it's already leaking air....
