Want To Know What SEALs/Special Forces/PJs Wear? Look Here
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=AT06HO0G
I have uploaded some of my favorite military photos involving American Special Operations Forces. Download it now, I am not sure if I will bother re-uploading when this expires. I'm no gear god, but I know my fair share, if there is a specific photo where there is gear you want to be identified post here, I will try to help, and if I should fail, I would hope another wiser than me will step up to fill in the blanks. Hopefully these photos can help some of you who want to emulate these groups but have no idea where to start. The folder labels are clear, but just so there are no questions, AFSOC folder: is full of Airforce SOF, such as Pararescue Jumpers and Combat Controllers, etc. NAVSPECWAR: Naval SOF like SEALs, etc. I divided by Army Special Forces folder into 2, operations with desert uniforms or in the desert, and operations in woodland areas. Some photos might be incorrectly labeled, i.e. I put stuff in the Delta file because I was told they were Delta, it does not mean I am 100% correct, and I just realized I accidentally dropped a few SF pictures into the NAVSPECWAR folder. *for anyone who can not open the folder, you need to unzip it with Winrar, you can download Winrar here, it says 'trial' but you can pretty much use it forever. http://www.download.com/WinRAR/3000-2250-10007677.html |

Nice collection! A couple of questions for you:
I want to know how you confirmed that these two pics are of who you say they are? First pic: The guys teaching the filipinos are Special Forces I thought. What made you call them as SEALs? Second Pic: I was under the understanding these guys were airsofters. They even look like it. Those things aside, nice collection. I'm not even half way through yet, but thanks for putting it together!

The pictures in Commonwealth labelled: 38556095_USSFAfghanistancc.jpg
are US Special Forces in the now famous firefight at the prison.

Actually it's an SPR (mod 0 I think), a rifle developed for both SEALs and SF, which the SEALs ended up hating and not using due to the compromises made in order to make the rifle match BOTH groups requirements. I've only ever seen SF using it.

SPR Mk.12 Mod 0, as far as I know, it's (was?) part of the SOPMOD program, so technically used by any SOF, not exclusive to SEAL's. (burned by Spleen  )

Hey Spleen,
Picture 1: yeah, they are US SF for sure. That was one of the pictures I meant I accidently dumped into the SEAL folder, I meant to copy and paste that file somewhere else and pasted it into the SEAL folder. Picture 2: I do not really remember where the picture is from, but apparently it is from some book about SEALs during Gulf War I. |
