AK47 not firing on full auto, fires on semi
Ok ive had my ak for about 6 and a half months. its a great gun, outperforms my friends CA and ICS blah blah. Anyways, starting last weekend when i was at an airsoft game, it stopped firing in full auto. It just clicks, but when i switch to semi it fires in semi just fine. Ive tried 3 diff batteries from friends(which work in their guns), and they dont fix the full auto, though they all still fire the gun fine in semi. My gun isnt upgraded, i keep it lubed, the battery is an 8.4 1300mah nicad. The fuse isnt blown(obviously since it works in semi) but i was wondering if there was something that could have gone bad to do with the selection firing lever? I dunno, id really like to fix it before this weekends game though, thanks.

Clicks like motor is trying to turn or just a trigger click? Sometimes two little copper pieces on the selector assembly located on the left side of the mechbox (left side when you shoulder the gun) bend inwards causing gun not to fire. You can try to pull out the mechbox and check those two pieces. Try to push them out a little. Be careful when you do it, those pieces are easy to break.

Or the gear timing may have finally gone out of sinc, or what 666 just said.
See a local expert. We're a little bit too far to help you. |

The motor is NOT trying to turn when i pull the trigger on auto, just the click from the actualy physical part of the trigger. Ill take it apart tommorow after school, ive taken a couple of airsoft guns completely apart before so it shouldnt be too bad. Cant be any worse than the ICS i took apart. Demon gun....ill update yall tommorow thanks for the help!

The AK has a few different ways to take apart. Check the guides first.

1. Remove dust cover and charging handle.
2.Remove the front. Four screws, two inside of magwell, two right next to magwell. 3. Remove pistol grip. Only one screw there. 4. Remove selector switch. Only one screw there. 5. Pull out the mechbox half way out, you should be able to see selector plate form there. If nessesery, disconnect mechbox from the wiring in the stock.
