F*CKING Velocity Reducer Won't Come Off!

Did anyone else have this problem? Maybe I screw it on too tight, now I can't even take if off. I even took out some plyers and I still couldn't take it off, and now I don't even remember which way to turn to take it off anymore. :rrr:

it's left handed. Turn against the usual direction that most threaded screws turn.

Swear. A lot.

Put on some rubber kitchen gloves. You'll get much better grip. Grab the barrel and twist against the barrel. If you hold the receiver, you may stress the barrel-receiver connection unnecessarily.

I'm not sure exactly how the velocity reducer threads onto the barrel, but if I was you, I would take a cloth, wrap it around the reducer, take a set of plyers and carefully try and get it off that way. (or put it in a vice) as for which way to turn it, turn it to the left. unless TM has some stupid way of threading the reducer, its pretty standard that you have to turn it to the left.

Upgrade your gun with a heavier spring and leave the reducer on permanently. Lmao!

CDN_Stalker - I actually tried that method, the cloth ripped =/

MadMax - AWESOME! I tried it once, and it worked right away with lots of ease with the rubber kitchen gloves, thanks!!!

It works great until you forget which way it turns again and you crank it on with kitchen gloves. Then you have to find someone stronger and give him/her a pair of kitchen gloves. Make sure you tell them to twist clockwise to remove the reducer or you may have to find someone even stronger.

i had no problems removing mine... but getting it apart to remove the ring is... difficult. I forgot that TM has a ghey way of threading their stuff, so i just tightened it up and gave up.

i had an EXTREMELY hard time to take mine off....the easy solution was vise grips (see picture)...thanks to Red Tiger's quick thinking and Malfrats tools...the issue was solved in a jiffy...

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by bottom piece but the whole unit is threaded the opposite way of most things so if you want to take it off the gun turn it RIGHT.
