WE Toucan 9mm
Hey, i just bought one and after putting a mag threw it the slide will no longer cock the pistol without pressing down on the top back of the slide. so when I put a mag threw I would cock it they would it would work and then if i fire it will shoot, rack and then have a dead trigger because the its missing that .01mm of space to push down the cocking mechanism.
Brining it to the retailer today to see if they will replace it. In case they screw me over and claim I damaged the pistol, does anyone have any suggestion? If they don't replace/exchange im going to do a complete take down and just see if that fix's the problem. I cant honestly be pushing the slide down that much. Sorry about the heavy breathing, cold and phone is next to my face on a Civil war plastic cup from the theater lol. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rTqV...ature=youtu.be Last edited by sg-kono; May 16th, 2016 at 15:00.. |

If they do nothing you may be able to shim the BBU (blow back unit) I'm sure there are tutorials for it on YouTube sometimes after putting upgraded slides things won't line up properly so one will shim stuff. However if it's brand new it shouldn't be doing that. Something could be worn or broken. Especially if you were A. using the gun in the cold
Or B. Racking the slide and pulling the trigger alot without actually firing the gun. Both of those could cause damage to the small parts in the trigger mechanism, some old (i think kjw) glocks would break the valve knocker in the cold prety often. The valve knocker was directly connected to the trigger reset so if it broke just right it would work then wouldn't then vent gas or dbl shoot, my old G32C did that. Hopefully the retailer fixes/replaces it but if not a teardown will find anything broken otherwise then just test fit and shim the BBU to set low enough to fully recoock reset the hammer and trigger. You can use a bit of bottle plastic or even cup lid for a thinner shim.

When i got it i did rack it back a few times dry, then yesterday i picked up a new propane charger and fired 1 mag and it would shoot and then rack noramly then my trigger would be dead because it didnt cock the pistol lol and i was like wtf so i tried to rack it over and over mag out to get the sear down later after inspecting i tried to just push down on the slide when pulling it back and it would cock the pistol everytime but on the return of it being locked back on an empty mag/no gas it would not cock the gun. It seems to be like honestly .01 mm off the bottom receiver. I think its the sear or yes the blow back housing unit. both are easily replaceable. Last edited by sg-kono; May 16th, 2016 at 18:20.. |
