TM VSR G Spec trigger/sear troubles

Hello all. I'm hoping someone here might be able to help me.

The gun was slam firing, so I changed the trigger and cylinder Sears to SHS. Now it cocks, but the trigger won't fire.

I have a TM VSR G spec with the following
-Laylax silent shaft piston
-Laylax cylinder head
-Laylax metal spring guide
-Laylax 110 spring
-Laylax hop up chamber/prommy tbb

Everything else is stock.

I've taken the trigger apart about a Half dozen times. Cleaned it, and reassembled. Nothing...

Thanks

You changed too much stuff. And used shs.
deepfire stainless sears in a stock tsd sd700 trigger box on a lalax sp150 worked for 5 years. Now i have the same sears in my tm vsr10.
id say it likely has to do with the meshing between parts.
Just for ref.
all parts pss10/laylax unless otherwise stated.
TM VSR10 pro hunter.
Teflon Cyl.
piston (airbreak removed)
spring guide
sp150 spring (495fps~)
Random sorbo pad
hop chamber
deepfire stainless first and seccond sears.
never had a failure and as i said above all these parts were in my tsd for years before I picked up my TM. And even ran a 170 spring for plinking about 100 rounds (565fps~) you could try dropping the 2nd (piston) sear you have in the stock 1st sear. Its really only the 2nd that wears out. Really tho at those velocities (360fps~) i dont see how the sear even failed unless you have many thousands of rounds put through it.

I have a well vsr and tried that trigger and it worked fine for about 200 shots and failed as well. I've also tried different using the stock cylinder and it doesn't help either.

Have you tried that well trigger box with the shs sears?
I would venture a guess that shs used a clone to fit their sears so when you are tryin to put em in a trigger mech with a tighter fit something is sticking.
what about adjusting the length of pull and trigger weight adjustments, have you tried that?
Again i suggest just buying a set of deepfire (about 50 bucks) and be done with it. Or start looking for what is catching ans start modding the sear to mesh propperly (not worth the time imo)

No, I will try that tonight. If it still won't work, I'll get those deep fire Sears.

The laylax/ff sears are good as well. I never used them but have seen them and handeled them and id say they are likely made from the same quality of steel.

I tried the well trigger set with the SHS. Still does the same thing. The trigger doesn't release the piston after being cocked. I wonder if I have it assembled wrong?

I ordered the deep fire Sears, by the way.

Could be.

skip to about 6 min you can see how the parts sit and function in the trigger.

Your sear components are getting loose after those 200 shots. Also, your pot metal trigger may have work pot metal pivot pins and sear surface allowing the sear to slip.

Another solution.

You should get a Laylax PSS10 Zero Trigger or PDI V-Trigger system instead

Its really a waste of money if your not going to 600fps plus. I have been running 500fps for quite some time and 450fps for years before with deepfire sears and a laylax piston., i cant seem to figure what could be the issue. I could offer more help, but Thunder Bay is a lil far for us to meet up to tinker and try spare parts and such lol. Buyin the trigger set will fix the issue but there isnt any real reason a new set of sears shouldnt just drop in and work unless something is installed incorrectly.
i ran a crappy pot metal trigger box (from a tsd, a well rebrand) stock sear went put the deepfires in and that was in 2008. Then 2 years agao they went into the TM trigger box. Still have the other box, works fine with the stock tm and stock tsd sears.other than the tsds are rounded but the will catch on the lalax piston but not the stock tm or tsd one.

You only think it's a waste of money because you don't care enough about how your trigger feels
The PDI has the cleanest break of any other trigger unit, and releases the piston from a straight position instead of angling it into the cylinder. You really have to care about what you do to understand WHY it's so incredibly superior to other systems.
